Apply for financing from NY Green Bank

NY Green Bank provides financial products to support projects, businesses, and investors working to accelerate our State's clean energy transition. As a Division of NYSERDA and a public entity, we publicly issue requests for proposals (RFPs) in order to solicit investment opportunities with qualified parties.

NY Green Bank’s primary investment proposal solicitation is RFP 1: Clean Energy Financing Arrangements (see all documents for RFP 1). RFP 1 is an ongoing solicitation that is open to proposers from a range of clean energy projects and businesses.

In addition, we offer more targeted opportunities designed to be more streamlined and product and/or market-barrier focused, and are all informed by NY Green Bank’s ongoing interactions with private sector lenders, investors and project developers.

Occasionally, NY Green Bank also procures qualified service providers for a variety of tasks. These solicitations will also be listed on this page.

RFP 1 Clean Energy Financing Arrangements

NY Green Bank invites private sector capital providers and other clean energy industry participants to propose transactions involving NY Green Bank that facilitate the financing of clean energy projects in New York State, consistent with its mandate, mission and priorities in addressing financing market gaps and barriers.

RFP 18 Financing Arrangements for High-Performance Affordable Housing

NY Green Bank’s RFP 18 invites property owners and developers, energy service companies and equipment manufacturers, capital providers, and other market participants to submit proposals for NYGB investment in the construction or retrofit of multifamily affordable housing to high levels of energy performance in New York State.

RFP 21 NY Green Bank Eligible Purchaser Pool

NY Green Bank Eligible Purchaser Pool (EPP) – join a pool of pre-approved investors that can bid to purchase NYGB’s ESG investments. Send a proposal to join the Eligible Purchaser Pool. Once a member of the EPP, your firm will be able to make bids to purchase NYGB-originated loans and investments through a streamlined sales process, as NYGB chooses to sell its investments from time to time. To join the EPP, your firm must demonstrate that it meets the Eligibility Criteria described in the RFP.

RFP 23 Community Decarbonization Fund - Financing for Disadvantaged Community Lenders

NY Green Bank’s RFP 23 for the Community Decarbonization Fund invites regulated and unregulated financial entities (including but not limited to community development financial institutions (CDFIs), insured credit unions and depository institutions, and not-for-profit corporations that perform lending activities) deploying capital into clean energy and sustainable infrastructure and related small businesses that benefit disadvantaged communities (DACs) in New York State to submit proposals for NY Green Bank capital at concessionary rates.
