Sam Bither, Analyst

Sam Bither is an Analyst on NY Green Bank’s Investment and Portfolio Management team, where he supports the origination, execution, and management of clean energy investments across New York State.

Prior to joining NY Green Bank, Sam completed a Fulbright research project in the Portuguese Azores Islands. His work examined stakeholder engagement in the development of the region’s new Marine Protected Area network, assessing how local fishing communities, policymakers, and tourism operators perceived the network’s potential benefits and challenges.

Previously, Sam worked at the Albright Stonebridge Group, a global advisory firm, and interned at the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea in Hamburg, Germany.

Sam holds an MPhil in International Relations from the University of Oxford, where his research focused on the role of small island states in shaping global climate governance, and a B.A. in International Relations from Pomona College.
